News Direct – NEW YORK, NY by David Crosby’s spouse.
Our dear David (Croz) Crosby passed away after a protracted illness, which fills us with great sadness. His soul mate Jane, his wife, and their son Django are devotedly surrounding him. Even though he is no longer among us, his kindness and humanity will serve as a constant example for us. His great music will continue to be heard today. I wish everyone who knew David and interacted with him peace, love, and harmony. He will be sorely missed. We respectfully and humbly request privacy at this time while we grieve and work to understand our tragic loss. I appreciate your prayers and love.
David Crosby previously admitted that difficulties with his guitar-playing were a major factor in why he might be on tour.
However, he didn’t leave it open in a UCR interview: staying, he affirmed, was “possible,” or something similar wouldn’t require much distance.
The Capitol Theater will host live performances on December 9 from fans to fill in the gaps. The 2018 Port Chester, New York-based production, which Crosby worked on with his Beacon Band—which also features Michael Union, Becca Stevens, and Michelle Willis—highlights their interactions. He explains the playlist by saying, “More than half of [shows] are new material, which I think is healthy.” “I believe the voyage has been really healthy,”
He talked about the evening’s events and gave an update on the new music he had just finished.
You must be fortunate because I am aware that you have always desired to release this album.
Man, you can try to get a group of individuals in a room to make music a lot of times in your life. It may occasionally be magical. Then some chemistry takes place. Unquestionably, this is one of them. We did exceptionally well on what seemed to be the final night of the tour. We have reached the point where we are extremely confident and content. It is audible in our voices. We’re overjoyed and deeply engaged. Rarely are events like this documented, but we are fortunate to have access to it.
They typically have another album in the works when we speak. Considering that those shows were from a few years ago, are you still following them? Artists occasionally move on.
Because it’s good and I’m proud of it, [I] love it a lot. It demonstrates the kind of chemistry that made me fall in love with the members of this band. You are correct, therefore let’s continue. Another studio recording of Lighthouse Band that I completed, mixed, and mastered. Publishing is now possible. I contributed two songs to another Sky Trails band record with my son James [Raymond]. I have three tracks on another Lighthouse record after this one, but I also have a full song that you haven’t heard.
