John Ventimiglia and his family mourn the loss of their 25-year-old daughter, Odele Cape. The soprano graduate’s wife, Belinda Ventimiglia, announced her death on Facebook over the weekend, including details of Odele’s funeral in Brooklyn on Thursday .
“It is heartbreaking to post the obituary of our beloved Audrey,” she wrote. “Her sister Lucinda and I have been touched by the messages of support and love we have received and how grateful you are for reminding Odell of so many people.” She added, “Audrey is deeply loved , which leaves a huge void in our lives.” The cause of death was not disclosed, and representatives for Ventimiglia did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Her sister Lucinda also paid tribute to Audelle, sharing throwback photos of her sister on Instagram throughout her life.

Odell is survived by her father John, mother Belinda, sister Lucinda and daughter Shiloh. The funeral was held on Thursday at the Old First Reformed Church in Brooklyn, New York.
