Jonathan Pryce, CBE, was born in Wales on June 1, 1947. He acts and sings on stage and in movies. In the 1970s, he started his career as a stage actor. He had studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and met his longtime partner, English actress Kate Fahy, in 1974.

Jonathan Pryce (GOT): Career
Even though he didn’t like RADA and his tutor told him he’d never be able to do anything more than play bad guys on Z-Cars, Pryce joined the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool after he graduated and eventually became the theater’s artistic director.
He did shows with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Nottingham Playhouse. To get his Equity card, he played a small part in the 1972 episode of the science fiction drama series Doomwatch called “Fire & Brimstone.” Then, he was in two TV movies directed by Stephen Frears. The movies were called Daft as a Brush and Playthings.
After he left Everyman, Pryce joined Sir Richard Eyre at the Nottingham Playhouse and played a role written for him in Trevor Griffiths’s play Comedians. The show was moved to London’s Old Vic Theatre.
Price played the role again on Broadway in 1976. This time, Mike Nichols was in charge. Price won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 1977 for this performance. Around this time, he played his first movie role as Joseph Manasse in the drama Voyage of the Damned, which starred Faye Dunaway.
