Deputies detained four guys earlier this month in connection with an incident that led to the death of LSU student Madison Brooks in Baton Rouge by an automobile. According to the investigators, two of the males were charged with third-degree rape. According to custody records, the other two were charged with rape in principle, which means they were present but not participating in the alleged act.
Representatives accused a kid and Walker’s 18-year-old Kaivon Deondre Washington of third-degree rape. Over-17s are considered minors. Both were enrolled at Walker High School, according to sources who spoke with WAFB. For a link to the Washington Warrant, click here.
Both Casen Carver, 18, of Denham Springs, and Everett Lee, 28, of Pine Grove were accused of third-degree rape.
According to Louisiana law, third-degree rape accusations typically center around the victim’s “inability to resist or understand the nature of the act, a drowsiness or a state of insanity resulting from intoxication or other causes, and the perpetrator knew or should have known of the victim’s incapacity.”
According to the search warrant, investigators claim Carver confirmed that he and three other guys went to drink at Reggie’s bar close to the LSU campus. According to the arrest report, he claimed Brooks left the bar with them because “she was very shaky on her feet, couldn’t hold her balance, and talked with a slurred lisp.” Carver allegedly told detectives that Brooks and his 17-year-old partner would “hug and walk together.”
Carver allegedly told investigators that Brooks requested a ride home. The warrant stated that he admitted to detectives that Brooks agreed to have sex with Washington and the 17-year-old girl after they both requested for it.
