An further sad goodbye My younger brother Robbie has joined my parents, brother Gary, and the pounding beat of BTO on the other side. Perhaps Jeff Beck requires a drummer! We rocked the world together, and he was an essential cog in our rock ‘n’ roll machine. #RIP #family #littlebrother.
Randy Bachman, a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, has a younger brother named drummer Robin Peter Kendall Bachman (born February 18, 1953). He served as the bands Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Brave Belt’s first drummer. On the album flaps for Brave Belt and BTO, he is occasionally referred to as “Robin” or “Rob.”
Bachmann practiced the drums at home as a child, frequently performing with his elder brother Randy. Robbie accepted Randy’s offer to work as the Brave Belt’s drummer when he was 18 years old. Chad Allan and Fred Turner are further members of the Brave Belt. Tim Bachman, a different Bachman sibling, joined the Brave Belt in 1972 after Allan departed.
Robbie created the BTO Gear emblem when Bachman-Turner Overdrive took the name Brave Belt in 1973. [2] “Roll On Down the Highway,” one of Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s biggest successes, was co-written by Robbie (with Fred Turner). He toured in promotion of the Rock n’ Roll Nights record in 1979 before sticking with BTO through the end of the year. Due to licensing concerns and Randy Bachman’s choice to have Tim Bachman take Blair Thornton’s place as the second guitarist in the BTO’s Reformation in 1984, he declined to join the band. Later, Bachman became a member of BTO’s Not Fragile band, and the group reunited from 1988 to 1991. Randy Bachman departed the group in 1991, and the rest of them continued to tour with Randy Murray as their backup guitarist until the end of 2004.
In 2009, Fred Turner and Randy Bachman got back together and started recording a new album. The album, titled Bachman & Turner, was released in September 2010 to coincide with their global tour. To stop Randy Bachman and Turner from performing as Bachman-Turner Overdrive, or BTO, Robin Bachman and Blair Thornton have sued him.
Chrissy and Bachman are both semi-retired. He was Talbachmann’s uncle, a musician.
