Following a sex scandal, five Tennessee police officers were dismissed, and three more were suspended. According to NBC station WSMV, eight La Vergne cops were penalized earlier this week as a result of an internal inquiry into claims of repeated sexual contacts with second-shift workers.
Officer Maegan Hall developed tight bonds with numerous other officers on her shift, both on and off duty, according to the investigation. According to WSMV and CBS affiliate WTVF, Officer Perez was fired for his involvement in the affair, along with Hall and four other officers, Sgt. Lewis Powell, Sgt. Henry Ty McGowan, Detectives Seneca Shields and Juan Lugo.
Additionally suspended as a result were officers Patrick Magliocco, Larry Holladay, and Gavin Schoeberl. Requests for comment from the La Vergne Police Department were not immediately fulfilled. According to the LVPD investigative report that WMSV received and posted, the police misconduct inquiry got started on December 12.
The probe was allegedly started after sources informed the city’s human resources division of Hall’s alleged relationship with several of their coworkers. According to the investigation, officials reportedly attended football viewing parties, drove while intoxicated, kissed Hall and their wives, and spoke about threesomes.
One of the contacts allegedly took place during a shift party during an NFL game, while another one allegedly happened in a hotel following a trip to the Karting America Center, while the police were supposedly hanging out together often.
Aboard one occasion, referred to in the report as a “hot tub party,” Hall’s bikini top allegedly came off while she and others were drinking on Sergeant Eric Starz’s houseboat. There are also rumors that sexual encounters took place in the ship’s restrooms.
