Why Is Tom In A Coma Ginny And Georgia Season 2?
In season 2 of Ginny and Georgia, Tom is in a coma because he has been sick for a long time. Some of Georgia’s sins might have been seen by Cynthia’s husband, Tom Fuller.
The second season of Ginny and Georgia came out on January 5, 2023. The season had ten episodes, but many fans were surprised and shocked by the plot.
Among all the twists, people talk a lot on the internet about Tom’s death and Georgia’s arrest. Fans are shocked by what happened, but the season ends with more questions than answers.
For more information, viewers will have to wait until the next season. But here are what the cast and fans think about how the show is going.
Tom In A Coma In Ginny And Georgia Season 2
In the TV show Ginny and Georgia, Tom is in a coma because of an illness that no one can figure out. The doctors said it was likely that he would never wake up or get better.
So, in the season 2 episodes, Cynthia spends most of her time being sad and grieving. As Popbuzz says, these hard times also bring her closer to Georgia, and the two of them become friends.
Cynthia finds out that Gil is dangerous, while Georgia learns that Tom is very sick and will die soon. After they figured out what they didn’t understand, they started to get closer.
They don’t become best friends, but over drinks they start to talk more. In the ninth episode, Cynthia finally breaks down and tells Georgia that since Tom went into a coma, things have been hard for her and her son.
She also said that as long as he lives, it will be hard for them to move on. She said, “I’m tired of it.” After all, she had to watch her husband die day by day, which was very sad for the whole family.
In the meantime, while Cynthia goes upstairs to look for her son, Georgia has an idea. Georgia goes to Tom’s room and tells him she will take care of Cynthia.
With a tear in her eye, she takes a pillow and smothers Tom to death. She then yells to get Cynthia’s attention and tell her that she thinks Tom’s time is up. She doesn’t know, though, that Austin was hiding in Tom’s closet and saw her doing it.
Many viewers don’t understand why she killed Tom, but the actress who plays her told Yahoo that she felt like she was protecting Cynthia and Zach, just as Cynthia had protected her from Gil.

Season 2 of Ginny and Georgia
In season 2 of Ginny and Georgia, the story takes a lot of turns. Screenrant says that Antonia Gentry (Ginny) and Brianne Howey (Georgia) said in the interview that there are many surprises and moments that will break your heart.
The actresses talked about how excited they were to see how people responded. They also said that when they read the script, they were shocked. “Every episode ends with a great little cliffhanger,” they said.
Well, the death of Tom seemed to be one of the surprises. The relationship between Georgia and Cynthia was another thing that viewers should have been ready for to change. Fans are also shocked by the ending because Georgia gets caught for killing Tom.
But it’s not clear how the police will figure out that he was killed and not just sick and died. The season didn’t show how they found out the truth, but hopefully that will be clear in Season 3.

Season 2 cast of Ginny & Georgia
Ginny & Georgia season 2 is led by Ginny, played by Antonia Gentry, and Georgia, played by Brianne Howey. Gentry is a young actress who works in Hollywood. She has been in an episode of Raising Dion and the movie Candy Jar. Howey, on the other hand, has been in shows like “The Passage,” “Batwoman,” and “Dollface.”
It looks like most of the cast from the first season will also be back for the new episodes. Among them are:
In terms of new cast members, Aaron Ashmore will play Gil, Georgia’s ex-boyfriend and Austin’s father. Ashmore has been in the TV shows Locke & Key and Killjoys. Fun fact: Aaron is often confused with his twin brother Shawn Ashmore, who stars in The Rookie and is best known for playing Iceman in the X-Men movies.
What will season 2 of Ginny & Georgia be about?
If you thought season 1 had some big surprises, get ready for what season 2 has in store. Lampert told Oprah Daily that we’re just beginning to learn about the people of Wellsbury. “Season 1 did feel like the first season.” We just started peeling back some of the layers we want to explore for all of the characters. Deb and I are hoping to do it,” she said.
In case you missed it, a lot happened in the season 1 finale. For example, Georgia seemed to get away with killing her ex-husband after she used fireworks to get rid of his ashes for good. But as we’ve seen, Cardova isn’t giving up just yet.
Ginny, on the other hand, took Marcus’ bike and ran away from home with Austin by her side. After the big fight at school when MANG and the rest of the group found out that Ginny had been cheating on Hunter with Marcus, it looks like that group of friends might not get back together, even though they’ve been through a lot. Even though Marcus said that getting together was a mistake, Ginny told him that everything was fine between them. After everything that happened at school, Marcus and Max got into the worst fight ever. So, will Ginny be found by Georgia or Marcus? She went to her dad’s, right? Or somewhere else?
Ginny’s actress, Antonia Gentry, told Seventeen, “For season 2, the stakes are obviously much higher than where we left off in season 1.” “So, I think fans will see a lot of great tension, a lot of building up to the climax, and a few interesting characters.”
Has Ginny & Georgia season 2 finished filming?
Good news, G&G hive! Filming for season 2 is now over. On September 19, 2022, Debra J. Fisher, who is in charge of the show, posted a TikTok with some exciting news about the next season.
“The number one question I get as Ginny & Georgia’s showrunner is, ‘Where’s season 2?’” she said. She then went on to explain all the work that needs to be done after filming is done before the season is released on Netflix.
“Here’s what I know and can say: we just finished. What does that mean then? “It will take Netflix 14 weeks to translate Ginny & Georgia into all the languages that aren’t English,” said Debra. “Until we hear from Netflix officially, that takes us to the end of the year.”
Antonia Gentry told Seventeen in an exclusive interview in November 2021 that filming for season 2 would start up again soon. She said, “I can’t say much about [season 2] right now, but I can’t wait until we start shooting again, which will be very, very soon.” “I’m just so prepared. I miss everyone on the stage.”
